I think there is an updated number..... any vehicle that used the 3.9 will also use the same PCV valve..... So, dodge trucks, dakota/durango, and heaven only knows what else......

Exactly. The old part number has been superseded by....

5175352AA

Search on that and i'm sure you'll find it. Get the Mopar part.

Take a look under the truck at the oil drain plug area an transmission for a tiny tiny wet point..the 2 piece seal can leak near there too an only as your driving does it leak. But I agree that the plenum can be a factor. How do the plugs look ? I got a OEM PCV at the dealer-they cross referenced to the ram with similar motor .Keep us posted I'm curious where the oil has been going too .

Well im waiting for the PCV valve I posted above to come in from Rock Auto. My OEM Hose for the PCV was split a little where it goes into the intake so I put some ultra black permatex on it and let it sit for a day or so. I check it again today and its exactly between full and add so Im guessing a half quart low. I didnt fill it back up this time since its still in the safe area. We have a bunch of snow and ice right now so Im unable to pull the spark plugs out but I didnt see any oil on the oil plug. The condition of the oil is really good, not black at all but sorta like a honey/syrup color and it doesnt look like any antifreeze is in it and the truck runs perfect so Im hoping its the PCV. Right now it has a duralast PCV i put in it back in august but I read its better to use the Mopar PCV so thats what im getting in the mail. Ill kee you updated...thanks for the reply

I must've misread your initial post when I said " Losing that much oil, you have to see something somewhere." I was thinking "week" when you said you lost half a quart a month. Not as bad but still not negligible. From my experience, I don't think the PCV valve will have you losing that much oil. I second getting under the truck and checking for leaks.

I have had engines leak around the valve covers, and the oil would burn off on the exhaust manifolds..... no smoke, but, losing oil nonetheless.

Yep, there are a million ways to lose oil. There's no use in guessing, at least not till you've ruled out the basics.
