Default Mopar Original Part...

The fan is the Mopar Original replacement part for my Durango. It is now discontinued. Found it on eBay as a NOS part for less money than an Aftermarket replacement. So same size, same mounting. I thought it would be a good idea to replace it as it's old and then Dodgevity mentioned he never heard his fan kick on until he replaced it. So we'll see.

I had checked for voltage at the pigtail before replacing it and it had voltage. That old fan was just dead, dead, dead! Once you install it, just turn on the AC and it will kick on right away. Of course it will also turn on when you reach a high enough temp, but the AC is instant on.

Just FYI, I once ran the truck with just this fan for 500 mi in summer. https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...0-degrees.html

Sure enough, the new electric fan works great. And the A/C seems to blow colder than it did before so that's a plus.
