Default noisy fuel pump

I have notoiced the 1/2 second buzz of the fuel pump before turning the key get louder and louder. Now I can hear it over my flowmaster 40 series (non delta) at idle. As expected it gets louder with less gas in the tank, but i can hear it at 3/4. Also (possibly related) the truck is becoming more and more difficult to start cold. I suspect the fuel pump, because at half throttle it takes a second of warm-up for the truck to run on its own at idle. I also suspect the battery because i have a 400w amp, 2 8" subs, and like to play them loud .

any advice would be appreciated

Nope your fule pump is goin bad. The noise is because the pump is drawing a lot of ampage to get pumping. I dont know how long it will last you but i woulsd start looking into getting it replaced soon.
