Default posi rear-end

hey guys; i have a '00 dakota sport and have been kicking around the idea of changing my rear-end to a posi. would it be easier to just change the gears in the diff. or buy a whole new posi rear-end? thanks for your input!

easyest would be to find a junked dak (or ram, or durango, or...) with posi, and pray to the god of reliability because most of thoes will not come with a warrenty. the most reliable would be to get an aftermarket posi unit and have it professionally installed, more expensive but worth it if something goes wrong. just my $.02

spend the money and have one professionally installed a sure grip unit is probley $300 or more plus about $250 labor and an extra $80 for a bearing rebuild kit sounds expensive but you will have a fresh sure grip rear end with a warranty for about the same price as getting one from a local yard and you dont have to get your hands dirty
