How to Change Headlight Bulb?
I have tried and I have searched and I have heard different things from different people but no one has been able to get me a straight answer. How do you change the headlight bulb? I have heard you need to do it from the back. I have been told that you pull the head light from the front, but I don't see how to do this. Can someone just tell me real quick how to do it? Thanks.
All you should need to do is reach down behind the headlights in the engine bay and locate the wiring that goes into each unit. Twist the lightbulb and it should come out.
Understand that it may be a royal pain in the a** if they've been in there a while. They sometimes stick.

I've heard some guys have come up from the bottom to get at them from the back but its really tight and you DON"T wanna touch the bulb. Reach up from the underside and take out the turn signal bulbs. You need to take out the turn signal housing. You need torx bits for the screws to take that out. Then there are bolts that hold in the head light assembley. Take them out and the hole thing comes out. Makes it much easier to change them.
Quick Tip ... Put a small mark on the harness as to how it came out. When I swapped my bulbs out the Bulb harness only wants to go back in 1 way, and visually there's not much difference.

Yes it ic changed from the back inside the engine bay. It is tight to move around, but can be done. First there is a retaining lock ring that holds it in and makes the water seal. I can't remember which direction, but it will turn 1/4 turn one way or the other, then slide it back away from the lens. Now you can pull the bulb straight out. Note (Make sure you get the 9007 model bulb and not the 9004. They look the same, but the notching is different and 9004 will NOT go in lens on a Dak. Due to notching, the bulb will only seat one way. Do not touch bulb or you'll be changing it again shortly. If you do have to touch it, make sure it's clean and dry before putting it in lens.) Hope this actually clears it up for you. Good luck.
