Default Need Help on Neutral Safety Switch

I have a 98 Dakota 5 Speed 4x4 5.2L
I NEED HELP! I got the old one out, i think i have all of it out. can someone describe the old switch to me or give me a picture of it. The old one busted off my truck when i was trying to loosen it, now it's in 2 parts. this new one doesnt even look like the old one. the new one is taller and fatter at the top where it goes into the tranny. someone help me! i looked in the hole with a mirror i have and it looks like theres nothing else in there but i'm not 100% sure.
I called the parts place where i bought the new switch at and i read him the part # and he said that its the right one. someone please help!
thanks

Default RE: Need Help on Neutral Safety Switch

So I fiugred out what I screwed up this time. I was turning the damn switch the wrong way. I know i'm stupid please dont make me feel any worse than I do now. I really do feel bad about my truck I mean I love it and I can't drive it now. So now what I gotta do is take it to a transmission shop and have them drop it. The threads from the old switch are still in there. Anyone got any ideas on how to get this out by myself, with out droping the tranny? I suppose this hasn't happened to anyone else?
Any advice would be greatly appriciated.
P.S. Anyone know roughly how much it will cost to drop the tranny and get the old threads out?
