rpms jump up and then plumit.
Just got my truck and it almost does the same thing. Sometimes after braking or coming to a complete stop the truck will drop its rpms below 500 and then kick itself back up before it dies. Never stalled, and this "bounce" only happens every once in a while. Also it only drops one or two times before returning to a normal idle. Do you think I am going to have a problem as severe as his? Could I just be in the preliminary stages of his more serious issue? Whatever the case may be, I'm very interested to see what comes of this.
Seeing as there is no check engine light, I'd guess Fuel Pump/Fuel Filter... which is all one unit, and is located in the top of the fuel tank ... Auto Zone price is somewhere close to $300 for the unit, if I remember right.
