Default Windshield Washers freezing

Has anybody else had a problem with the windsheild washer lines freezing up. I asked the guy at the dealer and he said that it happens, but I thought maybe he was just trying to get out of work. Its starting to become a real problem.

Buy the cold weather washer fluid (it's got alcohol in it) and don't dilute it. Normal stuff mixed with water freezes a lot closer to 32* whereas the winter stuff has a much lower freezing point. And IMHO it works better that way.

But yeah, if it's cold out your washer lines can freeze.

Prestone makes cold weather washer fluid that works quite well.

Yeah, if you are dilluting, stop doing that. In the summer I'll run almost half and half, but in the winter I only use washer fluid. I usually use the deicing stuff in the winter, it costs about the same anyway.

I had the same problem, and I put some -45C and the problem disapeared.
