Unfortunately, no. My friend is going to take the part to work with him to see if he can figure it out. I did a little research online in the meantime and found out that the front drive shaft is probably a Caged Ball CV Shaft. Any ideas?

I know the Rams, like mine have a CV joint on the t-case side of the front driveshaft, don't remember what was going on with the old '99 Dak. Those things are usually rebuildable, but you'll pull your hair out doing it, not fun at all.

So the news just keeps getting better and better...Part of the housing around the ball is cracked and it appears that Chrysler NEVER sold this as a replacement part, so there's no way to get one new. Seems like a junk yard is the last recourse. I'm thinking of trying to covert to just a double U-Joint configuration. Has anyone attempted this?
