Default Whining/Whirring sound , Tranny?

Heya i have a '99 5.2 rwd automatic i bought a week ago. The trucks in good shape and has 69k miles. There is a whining/whirring sound similar to a wheel bearing going bad when accellerating. The sound is not there until it shifts into the final gear. This leads me to think my tranny is going out. the sound goes away when putting it into neutral.

The sound starts when im around 35mph + when it shifts into the last gear. Also the sound stays when i coast until i come to a stop. I guess it shifts into first again and when i accellerate the sounds gone til 35+ mph again.

I was hoping it was something simple and not the tranny.
