Default Which exhaust should I go with?

Hey all,

I have a 97 4X4 with the 5.2 Mag engine.

I would like a one into two...any advise? Flowmaster 40 only has one into one for this year.

How about magnaflow? They claim 15 more hp and 28 ft lbs of torque?

I do not want loud..loud...just some rumble would be nice.

If I elect the one into one...should I do the R&R myself? Looks easy enough.

If I choose the one into two, I'll need to get someone to fabricate the dual.

TIA, Paul

Do it yourself, maybe with the aero-turbine mufflers .

i went with the dual gibson split rear its sounds great its not to loud but jsut right and i put it on myself. One factor that youll need to think of when your choosing your exhaust is price some of the bolt on kits can get pricey.

If you dont want loud then dont go with the Flowmaster 40. That is what i have on my truck and it is pritty loud but i also have a high flow Cat to so that makes it louder. But still alone the 40 is loud.

All I really care about is that the loudness does not kill the radio or XM player...Your thoughts? I like the sound of the 40 though!

as long as its an aftermarket unit, i couldn't hear my stock raido clearly over the exhaust after it was installed, thats what prompted a serious upgrade.

OH you will be fine with the radio. The 40s do sound the best out of all the systems out there. They arent loud enough to hurt the quality of your music.

Thanks... I found a setup on speedy performance parts.com AAA for $233.79 delivered. Pretty good price.

I've got 40s on my truck. With the windows up and under normal driving conditions it does not get that loud inside....although my friends say they can hear me coming from pretty far away. With the windows down it gets louder but not enough to hurt the music...the wind at high speeds seems more annoying and more "hurtful" to the music.
