Default Turbocharging a Dakota

Has anybody built their own turbo kit for a 1999 5.9 R/T? I'll be doing a junkyard style on one and I need advice on programming, fuel, timing etc. I'll be using a Holset HX40 and my aim is for 350whp. Any help will be appreciated.

Accel DFI GenVII Stand Alone is what you are going to need. I know a guy with it that has a vortec supercharger which is running 12 psi. Im not sure about how much HP it has but i have seen him smoke a 450hp SVT cobra. He has a wet shot too by the way.

That quite a hefty turbocharger there:

Holset HX40

You do know there will probably be a ton of lag. It'll be a screamer on the highway, though.

Ya he is right that turbo is made for engines from 7 to 10 liters. so you arent going to see power until about 3000 rpms. Since you are a turbo guy i would get yourself a hold of a T76. That would be the perfect turbo for that engine. you could run anywhere from 10 pounds to 20 depending on the octane you wanted to use.
