FlowMaster Exhaust Good...Bad??

Default FlowMaster Exhaust Good...Bad??

I have to pull a trailer and im wondering if i put a flowmaster muffler on the truck will it give better performance...I have a K&N factory air filter and no other upgrades.

Flowmaster are good products the 40 series are a little loud thou .

Don't just swap the muffler itself, get a decent system fabbed for your truck including a high flow cat and decent sized pipes.

so what you are saying is that if i want to pull a trailer and help the engine a little i need to do the cat back?? im lookin at the 50 series suv...does the factory muff really suck or is it ok??

I really just want to make pulling this trailer easier...
3.7L V6 with K&N factory air filter

Yes and no. With a muffler alone you're going to see a couple percent increase, if that. I doubt you'll notice it really, just more noise.

Bang for the buck towing gains would be swapping out the ring/pinion. In a 2wd you're looking at about $500 parts and labor to swap gear ratios. What's your current setup?

Muffler will do next to nothing. If you really want help with towing, go with new gears.
