Default wiring help

I have a 2001 dakota sport V6 4x2. My engine malfunction indicator light came on the other day. The truck seems to be running fine. I took a quick peek and noticed a cut ground wire (the end still attached is to the ground end - it is no longer attached to what it was grounding). It is my assumption that this is what is causing the indicator light to be on. My problem is i have no idea where it is suppose to go. The wire is ground (attached) to the top passenger side radiator clip. Does anybody know what i have to re-attach the loose end to? Hopefully if i can find out where it goes i can solve the problem myself and not have to get it scoped. Any ideas are greatly appriciated.
