97 wont fire

Default 97 wont fire

my 97 will not fire its like it wants to but cant get a spark the battery connections and cables were just cleaned it ran just fine the day before but yesterday it wouldn't start i tried pumping and holding the pedal to the floor but nothing and today i sprayed some starting fluid in it and checked the fuses still nothing anyone know what to do

Coil may have givin up the ghost. Or is it not even turning the starter?

no the starter turns its like the fuel pump isnt working and it has nothing to burn or its not geting a spark

Well the only thing I can say is to check to see if you have spark, if you do then see if its getting gas to the fuel rails. Could be the crank timing sensor also. So many things on these newer computerized vehicles to check. Good luck.

ok so there is no spark and the coil is fine but its not getting and power to it so is it a bad relay and if it is where is it cause i cant figure it

the relays are typically in the power distribution center. that would be located right behind the battery. the descriptions of each relay is also typically found on the inside of the cover to the PDC, and maybe even in the owners manual, but, its been a while since i've even looked at that thing.

no i know where my relays are and tried playing around with them but nothing happened i wondering if it something else or if it is just one relay somewhere in my truck
