Default Oil pressure jumping around, some ????'s

just got the 97 5.2l dakota today. its got 69000 and runs great. but i noticed that the oil pressure is pretty low at idle and doesnt really go up under acceleration. when i first start it up after being cold it seems just fine. anybody else have any problems like this? thanks

Change the oil and see if it doesn't help. At idle there should be ~20psi (iirc that's the low end of the scale) and under higher rpms it should go up a ways.

thats the first thing im gonna do. i'll change it and get some lucas in it. at highway speeds it at about 42 which is right. at idle it drops drasticly. and at start up it starts low and takes a second to move up. thanks for the input. anybody elses do this?
