I noticed one of my freeze plugs are leaking pretty badly. Anyone know if these are hard to change? If anyone has any experience with this and could give me some basic directions I would really appriciate it-Thanks
Yeah, if you can get at them and have room they aren't too bad, but if they're hard to get at it may be better to pay somebody else to bang their knuckles.
I dont think Ill have any problems reaching it. There is only one leaking and its looks like I can get to it pretty easily. I wont bother to change the others if they are not leaking (right now). I put a 3" body lift on my truck so there is alot of room to reach it through the wheel well. I think Im going to try this myself if I knew what exactly to do. Do they just pop out and new ones just pop right back in to the same hole?
From what I've seen, yeah. give the top a whack to make it go sideways in the hole, grab it with pliers and yank. YMMV though, might want to consult a service manual.
