I have a 5-speed 1997 dodge dakota 4x4 with 170k When i pop the clutch a little bit the rear sounds like a clunk and jumps. I replaced the u-joints and that didnt help. The motor and transmission mounts are fine. The rear diff is fine. I do have a used clutch. Would this cause this problem? it also makes a chattering noise while in gear driving down the road. If i push in the clutch the noise stops, or if the truck is in nutral. What could this be?

 

Sounds like a new clutch and throw out bearing to me.
