Default Exhaust diameter?

I searched hear, and I couldn't find any posts regarding the stock size exhaust piping.

Specifically I want to know the size of the muffler on a 3.9L. I measured it, and it was 2.5" on the outside, so I'm assuming it's 2.25" on the inside, but I want to double check before I order a new muffler. I only used a tape measure, not my calipers so I just want to make sure I really measured 2.5"

Thanks.

I had a glasspack on my old Neon, so I'm well aware of their potential!

I'm planning on starting with the glasspack since it's so cheap and easy to install. If I can't stand it, I can always throw a more "respectable" muffler on there. But I'd rather go that way, then get some quieter and kick myself for being a pussbag. [8D]

Summit will have my order for a 31" glasspack tonight. If it can make my 2.0 I4 sound mean I can only imagine what the truck will sound like.

yeah nice thing about these trucks is no matter how loud you make them on the outside these are really well built trucks and you cant even hear your exhaust on the inside with your windows up unlike my friend's little ford ranger its about half as loud as mine outside but its so noisy you cant hear the radio inside lol

That's what I was thinking. I figured that the interior noise level will probably be lower in the truck than it was in my Neon (partly because of where the cabin is and partly because my Neon had a gutted interior).

I'll find out soon. Once it's on I'll be taking a video or two!

Thanks!
