need audio help please

well im getting an error code on my pioneer premier dehp8mp. it says " power ic damage". it plays cds and sound comes out only through my speakers that are amped. my tweeters that are running off the deck do not work. has anybody seen this error code before?

sounds like your internal amp is shot. replace the head unit. ic stands for integrated circiut, as in you cant fix it

i think power ic stands for integrated circuit, check all your connections and make sure its not grounding out.

yeah thats what i thought. hopefully if i disconect the speakers from the deck and just amp everything i can get the error message to clear off. what do ya think? thanks for the help.

if the internal amp is crapped just add a small ext amp, no reason to get a new one as long as the pre-outs still work. I have the same head unit, and after I paid $500 for it I won't be scrapping it until it melts.

yeah thats what im doing now. i have a 4 channel and a 2 channel running mids and tweets. anybody if pioneer can repair this or how much they would charge? thanks
