You could try a search. I know many people have asked the same question. That way you can see all the opinions

By the way-I also have a V6. Nothing wrong with that!

Oh, the only thing I have are some aftermarket speakers and an Alpine CD deck. Can't help you much.

There are a lot of useful threads, you just have to look a little deeper if the only thing you found was an engine upgrade.

your basic engine upgrades: cold air intake, exhaust, power programmer, spark plugs and wires, cap and rotor, electric fans etc

Roger that Lug Nut. I copy CAI, exhaust, spark plugs, but what brands are proven?!? From experience on there trucks or dyno numbers work great too.

On exhaust you could go with a magnaflow turn down, its what I have on mine but it isn't very smooth, it's real ruff and raspy, especially at the higher rpm's. Cheap copper plugs seem to be the best. An air raid intake is nice. While your at it, a 180 thermostat wouldn't hurt. If you're really after more power, go with a V8 throttle body, larger injectors, a reground cam, and if you want you could get get a used turbo set up and run a low amount of boost. I have all that and them some, with the exception of the turbo, and it runs like a raped ape, compared to other V6s that is. Its no V8, but I can outrun a 4.7 4x4 Tundra, and a rc Z71 silverado, but only because they run bigger tires. The 3.9 isn't a bad engine given some work, and it will suprise people. I don't have dyno #'s on my truck, but I've been told that I may be approaching 200 horses, if not a little more. I'm clueless on the torque #'s. But remember that with that exhaust, you'll lose a little low end. My truck doesn't hit any power until at least 2500 rpm. But when it does, it'll light em up.
