Cluster Change
mine is a 97 with the 2.5.........do what i did. go to autozone and buy and aftermarket tach...nothing to big or flashy. just something that is going to work. i think mine is like 2.5 in. in diameter.. dont get anything to big cuz ITS A 4 BANGER!!!
as far as I gather, the 2.5's were bought as fleet trucks or special ordered. therefore, very little aftermarket.
If i were you I'd try autozone, to pull one out of a junker would require all the wiring and sensors and you could wind up missing several key components.
If you do go autozone, mount it low so no little ricer pulls up and embarrasses you. these things are not quick.
[On another note: for you other 2.5 guys, what's the top speed you can get? (I want to make sure it's not just me that moves like a brick.)]

I dont really want to go the aftermarket route. Want to keep it all stock.
I dont have any problem with traffic or speed issues, Once it is wound up I can cruse the highway at 80 no problem. Bogs a little on hills but pulling it down to 4th takes care of that.

I have never run mine over about 95 and for a very short distance at that, 75 - 80 is very normal for my 200 mile trip. 75 is the best gas millage and where I like to drive it.
