I love my truck!
Well, I took my truck into the dealership to have the clutch looked at the the rattling at acceleration looked at. Service told me that there is basically nothing wrong. The clutch just feels different because it is a hydraulic and is actually in very good condition. The rattling is normal and only happens when you are trying to accelerate and there isn't enough power, which explains why I only felt it when I was in the higher gears.
Diagnosis fee? He originally quoted me $100, then told me today about $100. It cost me 50 bucks. I think it's worth it to know the truck is ok.
I'm just amazed. I knew that Dodge made good trucks, but after being run pretty hard by both my dad and myself, this one is having no problems! If I ever buy another truck it will be the same.
Question-What brand would you recommend for shocks? The ones my dad and I got last time are crap.

What kind of things do you use your truck for , if its for towing and stuff with weight go with the rancho like stated above it is alot stiffer if your just doing driving here and there Monroe shocks will do just fine .
wow, I don't pay fifty for an oil change and that includes filter, all fluids checked and filled, and tires checked and rotated (can't be done on mine but they check)
but if you feel better...
what kind of rattle would you call it? mine never rattles at high gears and its a four-banger so theres a major lack of power (always).
I'm gonna go with toxic shocks when i lower mine, but edelbrock is good.
Here's a link that might help

I was wondering why your warranty didn't cover this visit, my thinking is this issue you was in the drive train (clutch/transmission) part of the truck which should of been covered having it looked at and checked out for free if you have the standard 7yr/70,000 mile drive train warranty I think your year of truck came with......it does not hurt to ask and if the shop does not honor it I would take the time to contact daimler chrysler directly they are good about customer relations and making sure you are not charged or reimbursed for under the warranty issues.
As for oil changes, I only pay 25-30 bucks as well. Tire rotations are free at Les Schwab. That has nothing to do with this. I would just rather know if I should be worried about something than have an unexpected huge bill spring up on me.
I mainly use the truck for city stuff. Don't haul much.
The rattling doesn't ever happen in first. Only in higher gears at lower RPMs, so I started shifting higher in 3rd-4th
Lil- unfortunately my baby has 121,000 miles on it. Way out of warranty of any kind
