My 2001 sport makes interior pinging noises...just like my Caliber's exhaust. Any of you with a black interior have the same problem?

I mean the dash makes really loud noises some times.....it's wierd

 

you mean the actauly interior? if so has it been farilty hot and humid in your area during the occurnaces? or is it a every day thing?

 

sounds like its absoulutly nothing more then swelling and shrinking due to temperature change its normal my 98 dakota does it sometimes. sounds like something broke when it does it but its nothing dont worry my dads 92 ford F150 does it like crazy all the time 260,000 miles on it no problem yet some vehicles just do it more than others i guess

 

my 01 will make a loud poping sound "crack" every so often in the dash. its done it ever since i bought it new with no bad after math so i just ignore it.
