Default 2001 Dakota Front Brakes

Although I've done minor work to my trucks over the years, I've never tackled brakes. A guy I work with described what it takes, but he doesn't have a dodge. I'm looking for any help you have to offer. I'm trying to find diagrams/pictures and a step-by-step process.

I did mine for the first time recently and found it suprisingly easey. Remove wheel. take off 2 bolts holding the caliper on and remove caliper. pull off old pads, actually use the old pad to push in the piston first then remove old pads. pull off rotor. grease the back side of the new pads and install on caliper. put on new rotor. replace caliper with new pads. tighten everything. replace wheel. it might not be this easey but it is fairly simple.

amazing simply to do disk brakes on any vehicle. the process is exactly as described above except he forgot the remove the master cylinder cover before pushing the brake piston back. go buy the chilton/haynes manual and go for it.

There's more info in there. It was on the first page of threads.
