hey guys, i have a 99 4x4 3.6 5sp. that i just got a flowmaster muffler put on. it sounds great at times and not at others. my main concern is a new humming sound i get when im idling. i also got a chrome tip put on, could it just be from the whole thing not being stable enough? is it worth taking back to the place that i got it done? thanks, any help asap would be appreciated.
not that i can see, i wil check again tomorrow morning. the problem is its inconsistent sound. since my engine clicks a little, which i have decided is normal for dodge trucks, and it idles rough, i think that is affecting the sound. is there a way to check my oxygen sensor without bringing it into a shop?
pull your truck up to an auto zone most of them have a computer they can stick it on for free or they do around here anyways and it'll come up if any of ur O2's are bad
oh thanx, i didnt realize parts stores would scan it for free. ill have to call around to see if anyone around here does that. i was also wondering if there was anything else i could do to make my exhaust a little louder or deeper? once the truck warms up it is pretty good sounding, but i kinda wish it sounded cleaner. any ideas?
