Default cruise control problem

Hello,
I am new to the forum and look forward to being a part of it. I have owned my 04 Dakota QC 4x4 4.7 for about a year now and my cruise control stopped working about 3 months ago.

It did work fine when I bought the truck but I did notice that the on/off switch on the left side of the steering wheel was very loose. Now it seems the switch does not activate the CC system because the "cruise on" light does not eluminate on the dash when the switch is pressed. I looked for a fuse but could not find one? Is it possible the switch went bad? How can I trouble shoot this?

thanks in advance for your help

Did you check and see if the DFU was engaged?

HAHA! Sometimes not everyone on the forum has had your problem and may not know what you should do. Would you rather have them blow smoke up your a**?
