Otherwise this hood blows my mind. I love it, it makes the truck look alot more aggresive and gives ya about 10-15 more hp "they say".

I thought that it was the same hood that I was looking at. Hmmmm I don't like the idea of driving and sucking in water that is supposed to be diverted not soaked up... [:'(] My setup at least has gravity working for it. I love the ram air hood and the way it looks and would be willing to pay for it but this is sounding like it isn't even practical in the rain. I don't want to redirect my intake somehow every time I get a little rain and have to drive at high speeds because I want the airbox that sits on top of my TB. I wouldn't even be able to redirect that...

Its fine in the rain, just dont floor it and have your rpms go redline. Thats the only way mine floods out. Its fine for just normal driving. I drove today in the rain and it was fine, the only time it died on me was when i was doing donuts in the rain and drifting. Thats when the intake flooded. Other then that it works fine. If i where you i would get it, if not just get a ram air hood that doesnt actually work (just for looks) and keep the setup you have now.

Yeah I guess. My damned filter got wet today with my intake. Damned mist from other drivers on the freeway. I'm glad I made it to be disconnected quickly.

heres a pic of my custom intake. I think it gets too much hot air though. I wish I didn't destroy my stock air box trying to modify it. or else I would have tried what mean green did.

lol I get that all the time. it was just my old truck. I though it didnt look too bad, but then again I got alot of looks in it and I dont think they were good ones.
atleast I made the hood scoop functional so you have to give me something for that.
