just bought a 180 degree thermostat from orileys for less than four bucks?.. thought it would have been a little more than $3.86?? anyways how do i instal it on the 3.9 engine?

its kinda of a pain to get at even thought its right there on top of the engine.

 

If it is setup anything like the 5.9 it sure is. I suggest taking a file to the lip that is on the housing that's there for no reason other than to get in the way and take off less than half of it. I did that rather than removing other parts myself it came right out but wouldn't go in for nothing...
