I can turn on my headlights without the key in the ignition.

 

i recieved my new ctm today and after i installed it i still have the same problem. the high beams will shut themselves of in 1 second. what else can I do? on friday i am will be driving 1200 miles across the country and i what to drive at night to avoid traffic. do you guys think the switch that turns the headlights on and off could be causing this? i wouldn't think that could be it but when it comes to electrical stuff i am clueless.

NEED HELP FAST!!!!!!!
