Default 2003 4.7L A/T Fluid Capacity?

Hello all,
My father is doing a little maintenance on his 'new' dakota to our fleet of Dodges.

Question: Anyone know how much fluid the transmission takes?

Truck is a 2003 CC 4x4 with the 4.7 V8 and Automatic tranny. I have scoured the owners manual and can't seem to find this piece of information.

Thanks in advance!

-Mike

Can't say for sure how much the transmission holds in it's entirety but the last time I serviced my truck with the same motor and tranny it took 6.5 quarts to refill it.

On page 0-6 of the 2003 service manual it lists the following:

Total capacity for 42RE transmission is 19-20 pts.
Total capacity for 46RE transmission is the same.
Total capacity for 545RFE transmission is 28 pts.

This is not taking into consideration the added fluid in a transmission cooler. All capacities are listed as "dry fill."
