there was soo much oil in the bottom of the intake manifold that i could see myself. I couldnt get the manifold off because when i tried to take the fan assembly off, i realized i didnt have the fan clutch wrench. So, after going to advance, pepboys, sears, and napa, I had to order one online. Now i have to wait for it to be shipped to me in order to finish the project.

I took my engine apart down to the pistons. The intake gaskets looked pretty bad but the head gaskets looked ok. There was carbon buildup all over everything. I cleaned most everything up and now i start the rebuild process!

do you notice any irregular scoring and marks on the cylinder walls?.... if you do... rings and pistons it is as well as well as honing the block, or pulling the motor out and having it rebored

the walls are clean, except for the stock scoring from the factory bore. and also the head gaskets both looked almost perfect, like they had been replaced not long ago.
