I am wondering if i broke it, i took a wrench and attatched it to the bolt and pushed to the right till i could get belt off and now it will not go back so i can have a nice new belt that doesnt squeak lol.. Is it broke or not? Just frustrated.

i doubt it is broken. try putting an extension (i.e. a metal bar) on the end of your wratchet to extend your leverage on the tensioner. i have replaced it all together before and it can be a pain in the *** if you dont get enough leverage on it.

it's probly just seized. take some penetrating lube and soak it. then move it back and forth until it un seizes. mine did that too and now it's fine.

Yup, PB blaster would be my first choice, if u don't have that WD-40 or liquid wrench should work just fine. like he said just move it back and forth till it loosens up, if it loosens and still won't return, u could have broken the spring, in which case theyre not too hard to replace
