No experience with JET products but almost everything I have heard is bad. IMO save until you can afford a programmer, you will be way happier and be able to adjust the tuning to some degree. Here's my back up lol:

I know his truck is a Ram but if anyone would know about performance products its RM_Indy.

I had a stage 2 jet chip on my truck for a while, then switched it out for a superchips programmer. Their alot more money but deffently deffently worth the wait and the money.

Just out of curiosity why would you swap a stage 2 for a programmer??? Do you have any mods? If you do the programmer WILL NOT help it. According to the tech rep at Superchips its only for a STOCK vehicle......

na it has diffrent octane settings 93 octane setting, gear shift points, rev limiter, ect ect.. the only thing that chips do is fuel to air ratio settings, and thats it.

Stage 1 chips are for stock engines.

Stage 2 chips are for none stock engines with a better flowing exhuast and a 180thermo.

Programmers are for people that want to maunaly change the settings and set up diffrent mods on the computer, a chip only does certian things, a programmer does alot more.

Why would it matter if its a stock or none stock engine, the settings you edit have nothing to do with your aftermarket peices. Except maybe the temp.. which then you need a 180thermo... but thats it. o ya and tire size to fix your gauges..

I use a Hypertech III programmer, and its alot better then chips.

Dude dont buy it..I have a 97 3.9 dakota with intake, stage 2 intake manifold, updraged throttle body, throttle body spacer, header back exaust syster, comp pushrods, stage 2 cam, and upgraded roller rockers...I added the stage 2 chip and it make my truck go nuts..It ran horribly allong with cutting my rev limiter down to 3000, and once i hit 3000 rpms it would bouce and would not shift at all..If u want some good websites for uprades u should go to hughesengines.com or krcperformance.com..They have some really good products and if you ask the will do custom work for u.
