Default cruise control doesnt work

ok. I changed my heatercore last weekend and it didn't go that bad. I only had a couple of screws left over. then today on my way home from work I went to use cruise control and the light on the dash comes on but it doesnt work. I tried it acouple times and still nothing. do you think I forgot to connect some wires when I put it all back together? you would think if I blew a fuse then the light wouldnt come on on the dash.

and my floor is still wet after changing my heatercore. I dont smell coolant anymore but I lifted up my mat yesterday and the floor was soaked.[:@] I am not taking the dash apart again. I'd rather pay someone to do it next time. and I know it's not my a/c condensation because it doesnt even work.[:@]
I'm gonna try and vacuum the carpet dry and see if the water comes back.

You mean you didn't replace the condenser when you were in there? ACK!

I think you mean evaporator coil.
The condensor is up by the radiator.

Anyways... when ya get this fixed, let us know what it was.

I have heard that it has a tendency to go out as well so basically you might as well do it while you're in there.

so when the evap coil goes, it will leak coolant too? but atleast my windows dont fog up anymore. im gonna vacuum the carpet and hope the water doesnt come back. and if it does it looks like I'll be pullin the dash out yet again.[:@]

and anybody know why my cruise wont work now? cause I will try to fix it if I have to take the dash out again.

No, but a faulty heatercore will. I have heard about places trying to pass off a crappy heatercore on people. If you have to get a new one make sure you inspect it to make sure it doesn't look like it has ever been out of the box before...

I did look at the heatercore before I put it in and it was brand new. I know people put old or used parts back in the box and return it. [:@] I do that alot too

well I vacuumed the carpet today and havent drivin since, so I will find out tomorrow if the floors wet or not.

and I'm ready to put my truck away for the winter soon anyway, so I will probly just wait to fix it if it's still leaking. and I dont have the money to fork out for another heatercore.
