Default HELP!!!

Well let me first say that I just picked up my 98 dakota a few weeks ago and am loving it. However I have now encountered my first problem with it. When I first picked it up the speedometer would only work when going over 40km/h. Now the speedometer and odometer won't work going under 130km/h. I first checked all the fuses and they were all fine(unless their is a fuse just for the speedo and odometer under the hood?). So I went to the salvage yard and bought a whole new dash for it, and I put it in and get the same problem, everything works but the speedo and odometer.... Any idea's???

The speed sensor on the rear diff is a known problem. You might try replacing that.

well I went and got the speed sensor from parts source, and it did nothing...But im just wondering if it was the wrong one...the one they gave me went into the transfer case or transmission my dad said...so im just wondering if there is another speed sensor that goes on the rear diff, cause there was a sensor back their but it was totally different from the one that they gave us.
