you can get a cheap one at any auto parts store. most are compatible with auto or manual. i just hope you are going to install it yourself because most shops wont install it on manual vehicles for obvious reasons; like your garage door, people parked in front of you/behind you, etc. what i am getting at is no repuitable shop will install them on manuals simply because they can possibly be held liable for damage you will cause when you leave it in gear and hit the switch. are you doing this because it is getting cold outside and you dont want to get out in the cold in the morning? (i dont blame you, i lived in michigan for a while) if you decide to do it yourself, make sure you always leave it in neutral. but i am sure you already know that.

Yep its called a wife.

YOu dont install them on manuals for the reasons virused stated. Either go out, start it up, go back in while its 'warming up' or just trade it in for an automatic then put a remote start on.

i've seen a manual jump with remote start. not good..... not good at all. however theirs a system that i was going to use with my car. that had a gear positioning sensor in it. thus is you were in gear it would trip a relay and not start the car and let you know that you were in gear from your keypad. kinda cool. saves tons in wrecks i'm sure.

they do make one that is for manual cars and trucks...im not sure which one it is but in order for it to work you have to push your e brake 3 times. then you have to open the door WITH THE CAR RUNNING. then take the key out (the car will still be running) then when you shut the door it will shut the car off....if u skrew up one of the steps you have to start over. im not sure how much it is but i got quated $250 out the door

well i was going to buy one for an auto and just wire it up myself, they arnt hard to by-pass, but i still have a bad feeling that one day im going to leave it in gear and start it and my truck will go running up a tree. I think im going to put a brick on the clutch, and wire a solenoid to turn the key (yah right). Friggin manuals...
