I went to sell my '97 dodge dakota SLT 5.2L Automatic


The guy came over to look at the truck... We cranked it walked around it... got in it to drive and it shuttered a little... Its been set up for a while so no big deal... then we went for a drive... truck did well until we came to a stop... when he put it in reverse it died... it started right back up and we drove it back... after he left I started it and let it run for a little while... but when I load up the injectors it will either idle way down when I take my foot out of it... or die altogether...


I know this sounds like the fuel pump but I am really hoping it is something else... has anyone run into this before?


He is coming back in the morning and bringing a friend to take one last look before buying... anyone have any ideas?
