Default Help finding good bolt ons for the 4.7

My brother has an 00 dakota with the OHC 4.7 but so far all i've been able to dig up performance wise is gibson catbacks, and a bunch of intakes that still keep the filter under the hood (i dont want a hot air intake).

Is there any companies that make cams, supercharger kits, chips??? because either im not good at using my search bar, or there is barely anything popular for this motor

KRC makes some cams but IMO they are a bit pricey.... They have a supercharger kit too. Superchips has a tuner for the 4.7 but it doesn't support their new Flashpaq technology, if that really means anything.

I'm on the lookout for a good intake too, i think you could take something like an FIPK or Airraid and just fabricate a heat shield for it?

Seems most everyone here is running the flowmaster 40 muffler and assorted piping, I'm truthfully interested to know if anyone makes a catless system from the header back (no emissions testing where I live) that I can pair up with some shorty headers. Since my truck is a 4x4 I don't really want to do anything that moves the power band too far into the upper revs, want to keep the low end torque so I can still tow and such.

k&n makes a great cold air intake using a heat shield wall.

well for now i removed his 3rd cat, and welded a 2.5" magnaflow straight through to it with a 45 bend to exit out the side in front of the rear tire it has a nice sound but its still too quiet i might just put a full 3" from the manifolds back and weld a resonator through it but thanks for the links im definately gunna check them out

Why the resonators? Every other hillbilly with a pickup has a bolt-on parts store resonator, along with cheap plastic accessories like Texas Tails and fender flares. Its a cliche.

Sounds like you do good metalwork. If you have the space and the $$$ why not put in a true dual system in with seperate cats and Magnaflows for each cylinder bank? That would really uncork the genie in that 4.7 bottle, and nobody would notice the mods until your taillights are around the next corner.

i have an 05 4.7 dak with many upgrade. k/n fipk of ebay 212.00. really nice set up. i changed out my 195/203 thermostat to a 180.cooler truck makes more power. have a 3 inch cat back single exhaust with no resonators.i purchased the 206 cams from krc performance and yes they are expensive but you need to get both cams for 750.00. pcm was reflashed for my jet stage 2 chip. my 195/203 stat is at the left. new 180 stat in middle and stage 2 chip along with my intake
