Default knocking/squeeling noise, 1999 dakota

I have a 1999 dakota ex cab. whenever i start it up or rev the engine weather im sitting still or accellerating, it makes a bad knocking/squeeling noise almost like something is bouncing around in the engine. did it last summer then stopped but over the weekend i was in water that was coming through my doors and now it does it everytime i turn it on. also my fan sounds like it is working way to hard when i hit the gas and anytime you hit about fourth gear it sounds like you are in an airplane taking off, So i got some problems, If anyone has any ideas i would like to hear them. Thanks for the help.

sounds like a serpentine belt to me. check the belt tensioner, also check the belt itself for wear. there should only be enough play in the belt to twist it a quarter rotation either way.

check that fan clutch too, a stuck one would make that "airplane sound"
