It goes about as far as I dare, but I let off the gas before I dare to go any farther but it could go like max on the tac if i were to keep flooring it.

Mine does that sometimes shifting from 2nd to 3rd. it will not **** and redline till i step off the gas. I was told it could be bad linkage. Sometimes it works somtimes it doesnt, it only does it when i floor it in drive, if im in 2nd and floor it and then move it to drive it works fine. Ive been trying to fix this for some time now.

The only solution I have come to is it either is a VT cable problem where it is not adjusted proprly which I have tried and which would be a large trial and error as 1/8th of an inch makes a difference and there is about 1.5 inches of slack. I wish there was a tool or something to get it in the right spot. Another thing which i have not tried was, "You mite have seized up kickdown linkage. Look under drivers side of trans, see if it is free. The shifter linkage is at the same spot where the kickdown linkage is." Look here: http://www. d o d g e t a l k .com/forums/showthread.php?t=126113 for more info.

now thats odd, past redline and the limiter does not kick in. just because there is a line on the tack, does not mean thats the shift point. my 05 4.7 dak shifts at 6200 but the redline starts at 5500, if i hold it till the limiter kicks in its 6800.

It's bad for the trani if you go past red line, A normal vehichle should be shifting there, I know in a ford it does this even other vehichles.

I have come to a conclusion of some sort for this issue, either there is somethign wrong with the soleniod, governor pressue sensor or something is clogged in my valve body. It will not shift into 2nd gear, even when putting into manual gears on the dash, 1st and second will be the same and which I think is the problem of the shifting it wants to go into second but can't so it compensates by reving high enough to shift into 3rd gear.

has any had this issue? is it my valve body, soleniod or governor pressue sensor? If so what should I do? Anyone taken their valve body off and cleaned it out?
