Default Code P0627

Parked my truck last night and went to start it up an hour later and and it wouldn't stay running. It acted like I ran all the fuel out , all it would do was crank over. I read how to pull the codes from the odometer using the three turns of the key trick and up popped code P0627, problem is this code is not listed. I listened to the fuel tank when my son turned the key to the on position but I did not hear the fuel pump run. This is on a 2003 Dakota Quad with a 4.7. I recently tuned it up with factory spec plugs and had no issues until now.

Welcome to the forum!

Hmm.. P0627 is fuel pump relay circuit. That would probably explain it.
Maybe check some fuses and swap the relay. It could also be one of the wires is open or shorted.
Below is a wiring diagram for the 2001 (yours should be the same)

Thanks for the reply:
I did try to switch the relays. I switched the one for the foglamps with the one for the fuel pump, they were the same part #. I will try to crawl through the circuit to find a bad wire/ ground.
