You get what you pay for, if you buy cheap stuff you get cheap stuff.....f0x672 is 100% on the money with K&N or AIRAID and worth every penny in performace and gas milage savings.
You don't have to pay for it to get installed. You can do it yourself, it is about the easiest thing you can do. All you need is a screw driver. Just take out your stock intake hose and air filter box. Then you can just clamp (which should come with the new one) the new cold intake in place. You should be able to get the complete intake for about $60 or so.
LIL i understand you get what you pay for .
with the K&N kit you get a plastic box to keep your filter seperated away from the engine bay ,with the Air-raid kit you dont get that and honest to god there isnt any performance difference between the Air-raid and the system i suggested
my son has a 01' ram 1500 with the 360 and he has the Air-raid along with the yes i am going to say it the TB spacer ,all was installed when he bought it .
So out of curiousity we installed the cold air intake kit i bought off ebay for $65.00 which included the the K&N filter i do not know the model # of the filter but it is not a small one by no means and the rest of the kit which included a heavy guage aluminum 3" tube and there was not any difference per say seat of the pants performance and at a price difference of almost 140 dollars i dont think it was a bad buy for the kit i purchased
i am not saying the airraid or the k&n kits at not better but if you get the very close to the same performance jump by installing a cheaper kit go for it and put the other 140 to 220 dollars back in your pocket
i am sure someone will bust on me for saying this but i did and i am not a novice mechanic and why not save a cpl bucks whenever possible
just my $.02

that tb spacer aint doing crap but stealing power. all they do is lenghten the amount of time the air reaches the cyl. get rid of it and you will see a dramatic difference. also i have the k / n fipk on my 05 4.7 dak and love it. easy to install. put whole system together on kitchen table first than dissasembled it. that way i knew which way and wear each piece went. also i was able to relocate my iat sensor away from engine heat and closer to the air cone
