Default Steering issue

Whenever I turn my steering wheel all the way left I hear a popping sound and when I return the wheel to center the top is sitting at 10 o'clock, if I turn it all the way right it pops again and the steering wheel centers up an 12 o'clock. Does anybody have any expierience with this? All information is appreciated, and thank you in advance.

sounds like you need new ball joints, and new tie rods. Do you have rack and pinion or circulating ball??

the truck was in an accident a while back and all those parts were replaced, ball joints, tie-rods, and rack and pinion. Except for the passenger side ball joints, those weren't replaced.

well it deffinitly sounds like a ball joint. Jack up the side of the truck with the old ball joint and grab the tire at 12 and 6 and push as hard as you can, if you have any movement they are worn and need to be replaced. Then push at 3 and 9, shouldnt be any movement either, if there is you need new tie rods.
