I have running boards on my dakota, I am planning on removing them and putting chrome rocker panel guards.... any input?
Also I am planning on taking out my dash in the summer and replacing all of my interior lights with red ones? ANyone who has done this give me some tips. I might also build a sub box for under the back seat. Input appreciated. Thanks

I have done the light swap, not a problem. As far as the box, I rarely have volunteers to sit in the back of my truck (it being only an extended cab) so I simply got an enclosed, small 10" sub box to house my Jensen sub, then mounted it to some brackets I made that connect under the rear seat, behind the driver's seat. Sounds kind of complicated, but it realy isn't. Looks very clean too. As far as the "chrome rocker panel guards", I would need to see a picture of exactly what you are talking about.

Yeah...but surprisingly I use the backseat of my Dakota for...uh....personal reasons, so I need it to be open. The panels I am talking about cover the bottom 6 inches of the body on the sides...so the door, extended cab, and box before and after the wheel well.

Or would I be better off to not put anything on to protect my rocker panels and just take the running boards off?

If your taking about somthing that makes people sticky.. then um, use your bed of your truck, i have a bed cover and its very nice back there just lay down some blankets and go at it. back seat = sound, make them girl give you the o face before they are even in the bed.. bass makes them tickle down under...

im sorry if i got the wrong idea about the whole thing and i just made an *** out of myself, and if im right then im right..

lol.

Wow...I haven't laughed that hard ina lonmg time, and yes you were right haha. I thought of the bed but I dunno...seemed like it would be chilly...those back seats are amazing for it...slie the fronts forward and give 'er haha. And I curse the steering wheels for they don't tilt enough to get the O face while driving...but I just recline a bit...the system works
