my spedo is off by 5 or 6 because i have 31's. I always do 75 on the interstate, thats 70 really, unless im in a hurry. Next time you get pulled over and you think the cop might be lieing ask them to see the radar yourself. They have to show you by law, and if they dont then when you go to court and plead not guitly as soon as they find out that you asked and he didnt show you, your case will be dissmissed.

 

Welcome to my world gentlemen! I have 33" tires and by 45 mph, I am already off by 10 mph. It is all a percentage. If you are going 50 mph and your speedo reads 35 mph, then your speedo is off by 30%. The difference between what your speedo is reading, and how fast you are actually going is greater the faster you go. [:@]

I was on 248 going past palmerton where 248 cuts to the left and 145 cuts to the right to go to allentown. My race strip used to be route 33 until the cdl. Most of the year you dont see a cop anywhere. They all come out for the holidays though, and the end of the month. Where are you from? I live in Wind Gap.

well i would have taken the ticket but if i had then my insurance would jump from 135 a month to 250 said my insurance agent something about being 16 at the time and its a very poor way to start my driving experience *shrugs sholders* it wasnt so bad got the comunity service done over the weekend and wrote the paper 1 page a night and i was done in no time the probation sucked though every time i saw i cop i freaked out and a week later i got pulled over for having 5% extra dark limo tint on every window except the windshield. he cut me a break though luckily and then i got pulled over for my exhaust the cop said it was too loud and i was waking people up *at 7:30 P.M. on a saturday night on the highway 1/2 mile outside of town* but he gave me a warning if i had goten the ticket then my comunity service would have been pointless i would have had to pay the ticket my insurance would go up and i'd lose my licence for 30 days

I know exactly where you are. I drive truck for Fed Ex Freight, I worked at the one there in pocono summit for about a year until I transfered to the one in bethlehem 2 months ago. I'm just going to take it easy until after Christmas and then I'm going to take it to the dealer and have it checked. I'll have them check the speed sensor and reprogram if needed.

 

get some one to drive infront of you and when they hit the speed limit they tap the brake, then you can see what speed your going and see how far it's off.

I did that when I put 36" super swampers on my 82 dodge ram. lets just say she was off quite abit.
I also do it on my old dakota when ever I put different tires on it. right now with the winter tires on it its only off by 10 kms at 80km.
