That 426 kit had over 444 ft-lbs from 3000 up to shutoff. I would wager that even at 1000 it's making a fair bit more than a stock 360.

I'm with you though, I'm not about to spend $10-15k on a huge smallblock build. The 408 setup is the way to go IMHO unless you're actually on a race budget.
