I've been looking at the Electric SuperChargers. I'm not sure about them, but they claim that they add up to 30hp for anywhere from $100.00-$300.00. I'm considering that as a cheaper way to get power to my truck.

The electronic supercharger is just like the tornado, or throttle body spacer. There is no way in hell that little fan will be able to supply your motor with enough air at high rpm, and forget actually raising psi in your motor. Don't waste your money!

Really dont need an intercooler. Then again how does this "kit" work with the ECM in regards to timing, fuel delivery, map? More than likely this will be done as a blow through setup and how is teh throttle body assembly gonna be sealed off? Personally Id recommend rebuilding the motor if you are going to turbocharge it and lower the compression a point.

I just discovered them a couple of weeks ago. I watched the video clip on one of them. I find it interesting because the fan was floating without help and the video showed it pushing a presto log across the floor. I think that there's some relevance to it.

Here's a link to one with the video: http://www.electricsupercharger.com/

I am still waiting to hear back from the seller. The project seems very viable. Being able to get your hands on two turbos for $300 leaves a lot of money to be able to put into the rest of the project.

Here is the response I was given by the seller. It is kind of vague, but I think it reiterates the fact that this project is definately possible. But as they say, never trust someone who is trying to sell you something.

You really wont have to make any modifications but you will need some
additional parts.

They will not bolt directly to your headers but you can make adaptor
plates to get them to.

You have to run the oil but you do not have to run the coolant.

An intercooler is not needed but I would recommend it if you have it
in the budget.

You don't need a turbo timer/controller. The wastegates will control
the boost. If you want to change the boost pressure you will need a
controller. The turbo timer increases the life of the turbos but is
pointless in buying for $100 when you can just get another turbo from
us for $150 if something possibly does damage it.

Turbos are harder on the motor. If everything is running properly you
will lose about 10% of the life of your motor. What I mean by this
is, if your motor is going to last 200,000 miles without a turbo.
With the turbo it will only make it 180,000 miles.
