Default Oil Preferences

Hi everyone, I just bought myself a 2001 Dakota club cab, 4x4 with the 3.9 V6. I'm planing on changing the oil, and after reading many of posts, I realized that there are quite a few knowledgeable people on here. So I'm asking for some advice. What are your preferences on regular oil, semi syn, full syn, or high mileage oil. The Truck has 209,000 KM's on it (I think thats around 130,000 miles). Your input would be appreciated

I use castrol GTX syntec 10w30 in my 99 dakota and it has 205,000kms on it. and its still goin strong. thats the olny kind of oil I use in it. and I put the used oil outta the 99 into my 88 dakota then it works it's self out for the price difference.

Lots of people recommend synthetic.
When I do my next oil change, I'm gonna practice what I preach and go with Mobile 1.
I've used Mobile Clean 5,000 for the last 13,000 miles (~3,000 mile intervails) with no problems, and no oil loss.

I use M1 in just about everything. even my lawnmower gets it. Of course, the lawnmower went a good 8 years between oil changes so I figure it's fine.

I just switched over to Royal Purple. I'm liking what I'm seeing. I almost can't wait until I have to change it again so I can really feel the difference. My next step is to change the tranny fluid.

I've done my research and a lot of people online will tell you that Royal Purple is probably the best one out there.
