Thats a pretty open ended question.

Let me ask you, what other mods you have?

The other question is what do you want from your truck?

i'm wanting to put a cam in my 5.2 also i'm wanting a lot of horsepower but i dont really want my low end torque to suffer cause personally i'd rather have torque than horses in a truck. anyone heard of rhodes lifters? they are supposed to save your torque and economy and idle quality when you put a big cam in

I would put a cold air intake and an aftermarket exhaust on there before you go ahead and put a cam in it.

You are prob only feeling it from the stage 2 chip. TB spacer will actually rob power from you. Cams are one of the last things you should be thinking about. If you want something simple yet effective change your rocker arms to full roller 1.7's. Easy yet effective gains without loss of TQ.

For the money there are alotof other mods to due.

I myself would still do intake manifold, 50mm TBand rocker arms first.

But that leads us back to horatio's questions, what do you want your truck to do? I am not the most knowledgable with cams, but from what I see, cams can add alot of horsepower, but will generally rob from torque at the same time. Thats why I say there are other things to go for.

check out www.krcperformance.net and click the dyno page. You can kinda gather how diff parts will effect your motor.

I have a small cam lift on mine, but it was in it before i bought the truck. So i don’t know how much HP is added.

I know a stock 5.9L R/T is about 250 at crank so about 180 on ground? I have heads, rockers, cam, ram air, flow pro exhaust with dump, headers, bigger fuel injectors, M-1 Intake manifold... and i had my truck dynod with no tune, and i was getting 267hp to the ground and 340tq on the ground, was getting the most power around 3k rpm.

Im about to add a 53mm TB, msd ignition, andgetit tuned, with a new comp flashand im going to re-dyno the truck and see where that gets me.

I know these trucks have a lot of tq. Torque is what’s going to beat them off the line when you get a good launch. They have so much torque you need wider tires lol.. i use to burn forever and would have to catch up when i hit 2nd... get some wider tires and watch there mouth drop!
